iPad Air vs iPad Pro - Real Differences after 3 Months! - Bilingual Subtitles

Apple's new M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro have been out for about three months,
and if you're still struggling to figure out if it's worth paying $400 more for the iPad Pro than this video is for you,
because in this three month review, I'm going to share my thoughts on ten differences between these two iPads that I think matter of them.
the most, so let's jump right in.
The difference I have to talk about is the design,
with the iPad Pro being noticeably fitter, and it just feels surreal and quite luxurious to hold it in your hands.
On top of that, I also really like how the camera bump looks on the iPad Pro, and that space black color.
Honestly, it just looks so much
better, and I'm not and much prefer the professional colors compared to the more kind of toyish subtle colors here.
And in terms of the design, I basically think the iPad Pro looks a lot nicer, but of course, is that worth the extra $400?
Probably not.
So let's jump into number two.
And that is convenient.
convenience with the built-in face ID right inside of the bezels because it's just so much better than touch ID on the iPad Air.
I that you have to kind of reach up and around to touch it and sometimes when you're trying to authenticate to like download an app or something,
you accidentally hit it too hard.
It's the power button so it shuts off very annoying and especially when using the magic keyboard imagine you're
using it like this you have to reach around the edge to hit touch ID it's just
nowhere near as convenient as face ID is just a huge quality of life improvement
and now for number three this is definitely a small difference but to me it really matters a lot and that is the bezels.
The iPad Pro's bezels look so much thinner.
You probably see it here.
Look at those thick bezels on the iPad Air compared to the iPad Pro.
This is just so much more immersive and I have a feeling that Apple did this on purpose to make the iPad
Air look more like the budget iPad 10 with thick bezels and it honestly works because the iPad Pro looks so much nicer.
Now number four we have Pro motion technology on the iPad Pro which basically means it goes up
to 120 Hertz refresh rate compared to the iPad Air which is always locked in at 60 Hertz and this is
far the number one reason that I prefer the iPad Pro over the air because 60Hz on the air just looks so bad.
The look choppy and it just really bothers me because I'm used to using my iPhone
with 120Hz and it just looks so smooth and it especially matters a lot on devices with touch screens like iPads.
And not only that,
but the promotion also helps with battery life,
like when you're watching movies that are shot at 24 FPS, the refresh rate goes down to 24 Hertz to help save some battery.
And now for number five, we have standard display brightness.
because I find myself trying to boost the brightness of the iPad Air when
I'm in a bright environment like let's say our office or especially trying to take
it outside but unfortunately the iPad Air does not get any brighter than 500 nits
and it's just so annoying because I've tried the iPad Pro that goes up to 1000
nits of stuff standard brightness in every app thanks to the new tandem OLED and it's just a huge difference.
Just look at this difference when you're in doors, it's just surreal and especially when you go outside.
You clearly want to go with the iPad Pro if you like to take your iPad outside and having that level of brightness.
available, just gives you so much more freedom with the iPad Pro.
But first, I wanna show you guys this, the CoverBuddy magnetic iPad case with graphing from our sponsor, MagEasy.
This case right here fixes the number one issue with the iPad when using the Magic Keyboard,
there's basically no protection to other fragile sides,
your iPad,
but with the cover buddy,
you get 360 degree protection while being so thin that it still fully supports the magic keyboard so you no longer have to worry about dropping it.
Even better,
it comes with a built-in Apple Pencil holder so you don't have to worry about losing it with a slot on the back for easy.
removal and on top of all of that mag easy also took care of overheating concerns by integrating
graphene thermal technology right inside of the case which helps spread and dissipate heat away
from your ipads chip to stop thermal throttling in its tracks which is why i prefer the mag easy
cover buddy ipad case over ev every other case on the market.
So definitely order one today for either the M2 iPad Air
or M4 iPad Pro by using the links in the description and pinned comment below.
And getting into number six, we the tandem OLED display technology itself, especially for watching videos and watching movies.
It's just an absolutely mind-blowing difference in terms of display quality.
The colors, the contrast, how everything just pops, it just looks so much better.
Now Mini LED on the previous iPad Pro was already a better than the current regular LCD panel that comes on the iPad Air,
but Tandem OLED is literally the best display tech on any tablet ever made, reaching up to 1,600 nits for HDR content.
And this makes an even bigger difference when watching videos in the Tark,
just look at the perfect black levels versus the greys and dual colors on the iPad Pro.
air.
Honestly, this feature alone might just be worth the extra $400.
It's that good,
especially knowing that this 10M OLED display probably won't get replaced with a better one for the next 5-6 years,
so you know it's future-proofed,
and by the time the iPad Air gets OLED, it's still only to be a single panel, not tandem like the iPad Pro.
And for number seven, we have performance with the M4 chip versus the M2.
It's just so much faster,
giving you assurance that you're going to have better future proofing for longer being the first Apple device with the M4 chip.
So it's going to be supported by software for a very long time.
and it also supports AV1 decoding, which great for saving battery life, since YouTube literally uses AV1, so you have a dedicated decoder.
Now, in terms of single core performance in Geekbench 6, the M4 iPad Pro is 32% faster.
That is a massive difference in single core.
That's cool.
going to help for everything for snappiness of the whole device using common apps and especially
web browsing performance just take a look here 40% faster in speedometer 3.0 web browsing which is just nuts.
And then for multi-core we have a huge difference with even the 9 core version of the M4.
You could also get the 10 core.
That's literally over 40%, almost 50% faster for multi core.
And then also graphics.
Take a look at this, almost 40% faster in 3D Mark's wildlife extreme, which should be a huge help for modern gaming.
And of gaming, that brings us to numbers.
8.
Even though the M2 iPad Pro has pretty decent graphics performance,
the main drawback for gamers is of course the display being limited to 60Hz,
which instantly gives the iPad Pro a massive advantage with its 120Hz display.
And since the M4 chip is so much more powerful,
you can actually play a ton of games at a solid 120 FPS,
which honestly makes it a great gaming device,
so it's really disappointing that this is limited to 60Hz because it essentially makes that new M2 chip kind of pointless.
Even the old M2 iPad Pro is a better choice because that has a 120Hz display
and it also has the full 10 core GPU versus the M2 AppPad Air, which is only a nine core.
And now for difference number nine,
we have the speakers,
which are so much better on the iPad Pro because it gets four separate speakers,
one on each corner, which gives you true surround sound, which is awesome.
let's say gamers trying to get an edge or just simply listening to music or watching videos,
you just have so much more volumes to take a look at this comparison.
And finally for number 10 we of course have magic keyboard support because the new iPad
Pro supports the new second gen magic keyboard which is so much better than the old one.
for the same price.
You the aluminum palm rest,
which feels so much nicer,
so much more premium,
and you actually get a full function row,
which was the number one complaint about the original Magic Keyboard, and the new trackpad is a lot better.
It's bigger, it has haptic feedback.
I just love.
this new design, especially with that new hinge.
And before I get into the conclusion,
I have a little bonus Thunderbolt support on the iPad Pro,
which means that you can use Thunderbolt Docs and accessories like high-speed Thunderbolt SSDs and much more.
So with that said, here is my final take and conclusion.
If you can say,
the extra money to get the iPad Pro,
which right now is on sale for $900 on Amazon,
I'll leave the link below,
then definitely save the money,
especially since this comes with a 256 gig SSD,
while the ear only comes with 128, and if you want to upgrade to 256, you want an extra money.
$100.
So with that,
you're only about $250 away from a much better iPad Pro that will last you much longer and give you a better experience for all of those years that you're
going to keep it.
So there you go.
Those were all my thoughts on the difference between the iPad Pro.
iPad Pro and iPad Air.
