Hi guys, we're back again.
So this time my friend who gave me the compact CQ-58 Because the hard drive problems which affects the set back to him
He's giving me this ASUS.
It's an ASUS e200 H.A 1.73 gigahertz quad core processor 2 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of
I've bought one of these and I wish I didn't I bought a Lenovo one
They're okay if the only thing you're doing is browsing the internet if you're
Going to be watching you streaming anything or working on files or anything like that.
These things are No good whatsoever So yeah, he gave me this he said that he it takes a long time to boot up.
So let's see what happens The problem of these notebooks is a suits and whoever else install a lot of Bloatware,
which also takes a long time to boot up as well what we can do with this one.
Yeah, did not take as long as I thought it was.
Okay, we appear to be in the main dust hope, so.
I can already see there's a few pieces of bloatware installed on here you've got views, iTunes, Origin, AVG.
So let's go to the this PC.
He has 2.76 gigabytes free of his 32 gigabyte hard drive space.
The problem with itself and then possibly 7 gigs worth of updates which doesn't leave you with much space left afterwards.
So let's see if we can, well for us to open this up and see what we can update on here.
second right so let's flip this over sorry I'm not sure Yeah,
possibly I should mute that power being disconnected and this I believe is all speaker wires connected here.
So, there we to last the battery, fasten till the battery is still in very good condition.
Seeing a reoccurring issue here, I can't find the processor.
Alright, let's go further down, so we...
And that's a no free upgrade to the CPUs under here, and it's actually soldered on to the thing itself.
So that's going to be a no.
What I did notice though, I do...
The Wi-Fi connection is an M2.M.2 connection.
I've got an M2.Hard mode, let me see if I can fit that in.
adds a bit more memory to it, so let's get this all back together again, find it.
Alright, so that's going to be a no-to-my-m.2 fitting, that's probably smaller.
Which is not very helpful at all, so let's get that in there.
So yep in short this can't be upgraded so That's not going to work.
My advice, don't buy these things.
I'll see if I can mod the software itself, get rid of a lot of the junk and start from beginning again.
So yeah, I'll come back once I can get this hooked up to my computer a second.
Sorry, for the late notes I tried hooking up to my computer to see if I can record the screen, but it's probably messy.
I'm going to try keeping windows on this machine, but clearing everything I can off of it.
So I've reset it and then run a command to remove all the bloatware.
all he's really going to use it for is stuff like Excel and Word,
which we can do off using Libra or the other office where they come what it's called.
So we're going to try that first, see if that helps.
Roughly, I'm hoping it'll clear about 10 gigabytes of space, which is more than enough just for those lot.
If not, then I'll try seeing if I can get a Linux distribution installed on here.
Now to clarify, I do not recommend buying one of these simply because it's just so restricted.
And windows 10 is wrong for these machines, it's just windows 10 takes a lot of space.
That's why a lot of these new hard drives or new computers come with one terabyte.
of space or 500 gigabytes of space windows 10 does take up a lot of space and it uses a lot of resources.
So let's go into this and try and get rid of, well let's Let's uninstall everything and reset this PC back to basic.
So what you want to do is if you click on the kind of speech notification icon on the bottom,
go to all settings, update and security.
And then recovery and the top one here,
if your PC isn't running while resetting, it might help these lets you choose if you want to keep the file or remove the files.
Now I'll explain to my friend and he's happy for me to get rid of the files so I'm going to get rid of everything,
remove everything, it'll ask you again.
So remove and clean the drive.
What it's also worth doing with these kind of things if you do end up unfortunately buying
one is buying a small scan disk SD card,
you can store some files on here,
but they're not for long term storage, so I wouldn't recommend them for long term storage, what does it say?
tried on the starting a few programs, trying to get this set back to factory restore, and it just would not have it.
Like I've said, just don't buy these things, they're horrible.
So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna try out a few different things,
see what I can try and get to work on here, try reinstalling, completely wiping Windows 10 and reinstalling it.
you bunch who works on here or Linux Mint or something else works on here,
just see if I can get something decent to work on here.
Now, as I said, I've to my friend, he's happy whatever I do with it.
He only really needs it for Office and occasional YouTube stuff to watch YouTube videos browsing and so I know I can do that with all the other operating systems
So what I'll do is I'm gonna mark this as a fail for now But when I have more information or anything like that,
I'll come back post a new video and show you what?
