I've decided to create a new series about unlocking health and wellness secrets around the world.
I'm too busy to travel to all these countries and get the goods myself.
Two of my past mates who've been with me since the very beginning.
They're completely unqualified, but completely lovable.
Return with new insights and how we live.
live happier, healthier lives, all while risking their own, for my entertainment, and hopefully yours.
This is Azza and Top Do-A.
Oh, how the hell did we end up with Bali?
I don't know what he's done.
Not to think he's just slow.
Oh, I'm so tall and good-looking that I can't come to
to a like I'm going get noticed too much, so I'll send my two shorter mates to go and do it.
And he's probably with his sensitive stomach and that.
Chicken's here off the street.
Well, first of all, how dare you call me lazy.
And second, I fear no food.
But I'm not mad at my mates.
At least I'm added to the right country.
This is Bali, an island in the south of Indonesia.
I've been here countless times.
If you're Australian and you serve, you go to Bali.
And this is definitely why I got.
When I'm there, I always hear about a mysterious elixir that does wonders for your health.
And that's why I've sent Azar and Zok on a mission
to meet with expert Onet Boo and learn about an ancient medicinal drink called Jammu.
So we're in the right spot?
We weren't sure if this was a prank or not.
My was just sending us here for no reason, but...
Jammu is Indonesian herbal medicine.
Indonesians drink it every day.
Different are said to booster immune system, eased digestion and fight pain and inflammation.
And while our net shop might look like a modern juice bar, the art of making this drink is based on generations of knowledge.
Very old concept, about 1,500 years.
You've had this store for 1,000 years roughly?
You look right, you're right.
This is my everyday jam, if you have first, it's for you.
That's actually really good.
Oh, that one looks a bit thick up.
It be jammery, tipsy after this.
A little bit different aftertaste.
Oh, that one's got a bit more kick.
That's when you've gone through a hard breakup, that That's got some bitterness to it.
Life is not only rainbow.
So you are sweet, sour, bitter, salty.
It is matching my personality.
Now we can speak more deep about jumping.
understand what's behind this Jammu world because it has the history.
Here's a fun fact about Zok.
He fall asleep anywhere, especially when he's jetlagged.
This is a good spot for some animals.
Jamo, it came from two words.
So it's really a strong connection between medicine and the spiritual.
Yeah, the spiritual soul.
I want to tell you about Jamo Mandala.
Our ancestors teach us circle of life.
We start from zero, yeah.
Yes, and then we're going to our dog, and then this old...
So, in the Jumbo concept, when we are born, it's replacing with turmeric.
And then on the thin, the contour, and then ginger.
And then going to our dog is ingredient like bitter.
It basically like different formulas to the age crew.
It's not only a product, but this is like the way of living.
Really is the circle of life in there, isn't it?
And then now it's the mission.
Oh, of course there's a mission.
I didn't send you boys to Bali to sit back and slam tasty beverages.
You've got health and wellness secrets to unlock.
We're ready for the mission.
First, you need to get Jammu ingredients.
Second, you need to make your own Jammu with a traditional method.
Third, you have to sell the Jammu that you make.
And what's his one-man name?
We're hungry with market for fruit, vegetables, and the ingredients for cooking.
Is this a salt that's fishy?
It's almost like a beef jerky at the sea.
So we will need turmeric.
Meet turmeric and ginger, the stars of Jammu.
Sure, they're not much to look at.
Look like a boring pile of rocks, don't they?
However, they're actually superfoods with incredible health benefits backed by modern science.
Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory that can fight chronic pain.
antimicrobial that can kill viruses and bacteria.
Outside of Indonesia, turmeric and ginger can be found in any market, and they're easy to include into your diet.
So before we go for making Jammu, there is more history and philosophy and the spiritual concept of Jammu.
Like Annette said, Jammu isn't just a product, it's a way of living.
So she wants Azir and Zok to have a deeper understanding of Jammu culture.
In Bali, they believe that everything is connected.
When you improve your health through Jammu, then you have a better connection with your community and nature.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
I think they could use some help connecting with nature.
on its having the boys deliver Jammu to a priest on the western side of Bali, who uses Jammu on his farm.
Did I mention it's only three and a half hours away?
Well, we don't really have any money or transport or we've only got these little legs looking terraced.
Thank you so much you in the next video.
This is Pac-Mung Gu's house, a Balinese priest who practices traditional Indonesian medicine called Usada.
This is the guy we've traveled all this way to meet.
And we're going to find a little bit about Usada.
Yeah, I can't be able to do How are you Good morning, madam.
Yes, Asa, you've come a long way, but we're just getting started.
You see these, aren't just any buffalo.
It's one, one for the race.
Does somebody hop on it and ride it?
That's why they have their job on it, is get them ready for racing.
So the job move gives them a bit of an edge.
We're not going to do that though, are we?
We're not doing buffalo racing, though.
Is anyone ever been hurt racing these?
And we've just given them a pint of jumbled.
First No, actually, hang on.
Maybe we're in this together.
That's in case one of us dies.
That's where they just push us out of the ocean.
So we have here the crowns for the buffaloes, and we also have the crowns for you guys.
Okay, so it's called Makapung.
It's a Balinese word, which means chasing each other.
The started in 1930s by farmers here.
The buffalo will go around the muddy rice fields to soften the soil,
but one time the farmers got bored and they thought, hey, let's make it more fun, let's race.
And the government decided why not develop it.
So farming production went down tourism up yeah.
I know I know what does this have to do with health and wellness.
See that's getting healthy.
Well nothing except might be threatening as they're in Zox health and wellness.
The point is, a very small point.
I just wanted to make them do it.
Come on, get on, get her on!
Make me go to hell with me!
I almost ran out of the handlebars, but I'll do it.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you win, sometimes I have one on the day, I guess.
Not a bad day from Buffalo, I reckon.
There were no losers today, except...
I'll make fun of him later.
Because now it's time to...
What problem will be ready?
So, all these that you bought yesterday?
Yeah, that's what we got.
We're ready, yes, it's pretty good kitchen, so I'm quite confident.
He is, he's actually a good chef.
Yeah, and I'm a pretty good eater.
First, we will make jamouti, and then second preparation, we will make the juice from each ingredient that we will use.
10 pieces of cardamom, 10 pieces of star anise.
It's really sharp, isn't it?
It's Do you have gloves for this?
Did you hear the story about me and Aaron yesterday?
We had a bit of a race in a marco poem.
It's a little hard on the legs.
Male, buffalo, or female?
Male, female, male, but male.
It's an way to find out, yeah, the horns, exactly, that's what I was going to say.
That's a male of those horns, big old horns.
So we will prepare ginger to American aromatic ginger.
Oh, yeah, that smells good, doesn't it?
So, your turmeric is ready, yeah?
So, turmeric, it has the active ingredient is cormine.
It has very strong anti-inflammatory.
I actually brusitis in my right shoulder, and I took cumin tablets to bring down my inflammation.
I'm really earning this job move.
It's really, yeah, you need to yeah.
Yes, you need to squeeze.
How do we do Do that with your hand.
Yes It's pretty warm It's warm.
No, no, it's the best time off.
That's really warm Okay, you got a glove on.
I'll let you do this one.
Look at you guys It's not your first rodeo Now we will do aromatic ginger.
This is more soft than the normal ginger This is the baby ginger.
What is we call it looks ginger?
I just to know who was the person that was like...
Yeah, who started all this...
Who I to put it together, I I'm going to try this out.
I think like that with everything, though.
Who come up with football?
Like, who was just like, oh, I'm going to get a ball?
You're thinking this game, look this round ball.
You're moving football very similar in that way.
Me talking to right now, strange, isn't it?
Just sounds, and you are understanding what I'm saying.
I want to introduce you to my friend.
Yeah, Dene Nice to meet you.
She's been consuming Jammu the whole life, yeah.
I don't look that good now.
Who does she think is going to make the better Jammu?
The type of law to depreciate us.
Who do you think is better looking in?
No, I'm talking about this.
But that's fine, because she pointed to me.
Okay, now, from these three juices, we can make...
Do think you're going stronger?
Well, because I'm younger, I'm going to go the sweeter flavour.
And then, because you're old and bitter and sour.
Here's the jammer in the Yes, It has lemongrass, cinnamon, cardamom, clove.
So we've learned about the ingredients of Jammu and their health benefits, but a larger question remains.
Do our boys now understand the deeper meaning of Jammu culture?
This is the time also important when you want to give blessing maybe for your family or...
Getting taller, better looking, well...
Ah, Zok, not there yet, are we, buddy?
They have no fear, you and Azar are about to face your final challenge.
Now the mission today is almost done and we still have another mission, yeah?
Who do you think did better today?
Do you think I was better in the kitchen than Aaron?
No, that's all you can say, it here.
Will knows which one is better is your customer.
Let's leave it to the house.
Leave to your audience and your customers.
You want to come with us and help, so...
And we just need to find someone.
Oh, no, these fellas might want to get some Jarmuz.
Maybe we offer the police some Jarmuz and see if it's smooth that over.
Don't you know what I mean?
Have got any one for one Jarmuz?
Would like some Jarmuz, Jarmuz?
Going once, going once, once tasted Jarmuz?
You come over here come over here.
You want some Jammu come here?
People are strategically moving away from us all this guy.
Welcome Where are you from?
I was way off of that guy.
I think you just tried to help me across the road, like he was naughty.
In hindsight, I can't blame anyone for not wanting to buy street juice from two random Aussies.
It's slow, but we're getting through it.
We need you, because like, I need some, we need some tips.
When you take out the bottle, you shake it.
Oh that's making me nervous.
Is that a normal sharing technique?
Don't forget this is not about the product itself Jammu but also about the connection.
Like remember how you arrived to my shop and how we connected.
You have connection with Jamu.
You connection with me with all of this, the Jamu journey.
It's not about who's Jamu is better.
It's about how Jamu is better.
a connection to their health and to their community.
Do you want to have the best job that you've possibly tasted in your life?
All right, here we go, buddy.
Now, this one's got a bit of kick in it.
That's going to be a kick, doesn't it?
Oh, you're going to be big and strong now.
See these people walking towards us?
I want you to say, come and try some Jarmoo.
Oh, look, he's working it.
You guys see my lovely people so let's share it, yeah?
We can really fix the ginger.
It's good for your stomach.
Very good, but you're not going to love it.
So this is turmeric ginger.
It looks like you're glowing already.
Oh, he's just down to that.
Come on, he got much into you.
So, this is where our story comes to an end.
Asa and Zark have fulfilled their mission, learning about the ancient elixir Jammu and unlocking the health benefits of turmeric and ginger.
Like any good travel story, it's really about the journey.
It's about the friendships they've formed with Onet, the angry priest Pakbangu, and four surprisingly well-dressed buffalo.
Asa and Zok have been forever changed by their experience, may have me to thank for it.
You're welcome boys, and I'm proud of you guys.
Let's raise a glass of Jarmoo when you get home.
Do you think there's a chance that maybe we'll become more famous than Chris?
I feel like, in the future, maybe Chris will work for us.
Well, we can teach him about Jarmul and I can also teach him how to send emails and things like that.
Teaching about nutrition.
How are we going to get on?
