Hallways & Intersections | Pro's Guide to Team CQB - Phụ đề song ngữ

Welcome to episode 4 of the Pro's Guide to Team CQB.
In this episode we'll cover hallways and intersections in great detail.
Hallways like I said in the last episode is probably the most dangerous place to be in a CQB environment.
Why?
Because it's a choke point.
It's a narrow path with nowhere else to go.
and we all know that bullets love to travel down walls,
they ricochet, you're pretty much a bullet sponge the longer you stay in a hallway.
So hallway is a part of the structure that we need to address.
This is also where we want to emphasize a bit of speed and now take our time.
Hallways can lead us to door the doors that are closed and open doorways and we'll talk about how to take open doors and closed doors
out of a hallway and also exiting into a hallway from one of those rooms.
But then we'll go into intersections,
and we'll talk about everything from a dog leg, which is a hard 90 degree turn to the left or right, a T section.
and then all the way up to a four-way intersection and how to negotiate that with just four assaulters.
When traveling down hallways, we need to assume hallway posture.
All this simply means is that we have a equal number of men or assaulters on both sides of the hallway.
Even if it's four guys,
you'll have two and two with the lead men on each side,
kind of using cross
coverage so that he can have the best view of the doors and whatever else is coming up on his side of the hallway.
And then this guy can have the best view
of the opposite side for those open and closed doors and other dog legs that may pop up.
So, they have cross coverage with the number 2 men behind them, basically acting as a number 2 man.
And if there is an open door or a closed door that gets called out on approach where the
number 2 man now gives that squeeze and release in route and the number 1 man can go ahead and
take that room without having to stop or stack on the doorway.
When it comes to a dog leg left or We simply just treat it like a corner fed room.
It very easy that way, and we have continuity.
When it comes to T-sections that comes down to the cell leader if there is one present, he's gonna make that directional call.
Same thing with four-way intersections.
While maintaining security the entire time, we still have to maintain the direction of travel and still be able to have guns.
in those directions that we are not traveling,
also taking mental notes of what we see down those hallways, in case we need to go back down there, but also for situational awareness.
When it comes to hallways themselves,
again, knowing that this hallway is a choke point, we may speed up our speed of movement and footwork as long as we get to that next door.
We won't take our time there with how we make entry, especially if it's an open door.
We basically just make entry on approach.
If it's a closed door,
it's a momentary pause with a lot of security and the directions that we need to pull security in with one,
now the breacher comes up and then as soon the door gets breached, we make entry that way.
All right, hallways.
He mentioned that hallways are the least favorable position and probably the most dangerous place in a structure to be natural choke point
We can't go anywhere else we can't duck in anywhere if we do start getting shot at so security has to be very switched on at this point
That's why we have
Traditional kind of split stack in this case and both of these men are not watching not just watching the front
But they're also kind of pulling cross
coverage Because he has the best angle of this side and he has the best angle of this side
So that's why they're calling out closed doors open doors anything else
They see they're calling those out also as they're scanning back from the 12 to whichever side that their their respectable side is Meanwhile,
three to four men, we're just following in trace.
We're to what they're giving us, and we're basically just getting ready to, for example, if they call out an open door to the left.
then I'm getting ready to give Damon a squeeze and release in route so that we don't have to make a stop at the door.
In this case we have two closed doors so we would have to make a quick little stop and that's why again security is
very paramount in a hallway.
But if we can we want to avoid being in a hallway for longer than we need to and that's why we come up with a rolling squeeze or how we
come up with a quick kind of closed door entry.
In this case we're gonna leave the In a hallway,
if you do see a closed door, we always bypass closed doors, we address open doors first.
We annotate closed doors, that way we can come back to them later, but open doors take priority over closed doors in all CQB scenarios.
For this particular run,
we're just going to do a split stack cross coverage myself and the foreman here will be in trace and we're just going to move down this hallway.
However, we're going to move with a little more emphasis in our footwork, a little more
speed of pace because we want to get out of this hallway.
So let's go all the way to the end.
Okay, move.
We're right.
All Notice that we're still pretty close to the person in front of us.
We don't want to create a slinky effect.
Go index We don't want to create a slinky effect when we're traveling because again,
there could be an open door that comes up very quickly I give him a squeeze of release.
He's already in front of me and now I'm that half second late getting in the door behind him Causing him to get shot because I couldn't get in there and
So we have to be switched on in that case as well guys,
keep that stack or keep that space between your fellow assault or a new minimal without.
No, there was no doors in this case.
But so the other method of travel here is in this case, when your hallway is a wider dimension like this or even wider.
then we could possibly get a few more guns to the front.
And again, because we're going in this direction, the most firepower would make sense.
So in this case, I'm gonna get right next to Damon.
Damon has cross coverage, I am pulling 12.
Johnny's right in here with us.
He's also pulling 12.
In this case, we're pulling long.
The middle two guys are pulling long.
The outer two guys are kind of getting that cross coverage and giving call outs.
Okay, let's move.
And index.
So both of those are viable options, but again, it's going to come down to the dimensions of your hallway.
Some are very narrow, like inside of a house.
Or you can find yourself in a mall where from one side of the hallway to the other, it could be a good 30 feet.
The principles don't change.
It's just now that we need to utilize a little more cover because we're in a more open space.
Whereas here, we're a little more narrow.
And this hallway is really just perfect for four people.
So I would travel this hallway with the four of us looking just like this just all online.
But again the traditional split stack is probably the most popular method used here.
Now if we have doors to our left and right in this case we do as soon as we start moving I need these two people to start calling.
And again, closed doors are not a priority.
We're looking for open doors for the time being.
But if we, again, we're calling out everything that we see at this point.
Okay so we had a closed door left and a closed door right and now we can call somebody called
a T section right and so we're getting these are the type of information that's only that's
going to be useful in the hallway it really doesn't matter what else you see so what kind
of door do we have to the left he said closed door notice his notice his verbiage he said
he didn't say door to the left he said closed Open door to the right if it was open.
Okay, so we need to we need to be clear and concise with these things that we're calling out T-section, okay, and coming up on a T-section
a Directional call hasn't been made yet on the intersection.
We'll get into that in in the later portion of the episode But for now at a T-section we could go either left or right at the top of the T.
Okay, so let's do that once again again.
Now we're going to open the door.
Since I said that open door is a priority over closed doors,
now that we see an open door, we need to understand how do we go into a room from a hallway.
Okay, so we're going to do So, let's get up to that room, open door left, close door right, so open door becomes priority.
Now, at this point, I can go ahead and give Damon a squeeze in release in route, and he
can just make entry, but for the sake of the video, we're going to do this by the numbers.
So, Damon is going to kind creep up on this door, now.
As Damon is now focused on this door,
John doesn't give up,
doesn't give up here security, he just steps forward and now he's without passing, without passing Damon, he steps forward and he pulls security here.
When Damon does get the squeeze and release,
in this case from me,
he's gonna go inside the I'm going to follow,
but at the same time he's going inside the room,
the number one man on this side is going to push to that near side and continue to pull for security.
Makes sense?
And then you are going to be the last man in there, so you're going to pick him up in route inside the room.
So it'll look something like this, a nice slow version.
Okay, we'll forget about these open doors here.
We'll save them out of play.
So pretend I'm there, so go ahead and come up to the door.
Okay, so again, now we could mitigate all of this.
If our SOP was called a squeeze and release in route to the door, cool, then we would have flowed right into this.
And we'll show you what that looks like here in a second.
However, for this, we're going to
We're going to a static situation here where we actually have held up in this hallway and now we're waiting for that squeeze and release.
Now, let's say Johnny's the number two man.
As Johnny gives Damon the squeeze and release, Damon's step center for me, but don't move.
Now John, as he steps center, you're also going to start advancing.
So Damon, go ahead and proceed and then John, you're going to come right here against this wall.
Pull along.
Last man.
I'll pick him up.
So I'll be the last man.
And then we pick up our far side security and we come into the room.
He'll be the last man.
The way that works is security is paramount, right?
So Damon's making an entry into the room, the guy from the opposite side of the hallway is maintaining security, but he's doing it.
by protecting everybody at this angle.
Why is he protecting everybody from this angle?
Why doesn't he just stay here?
Because he's seen this side of the hallway.
He's seen all this.
He's like, yep, I got this.
But what I can't do as these guys are going into the room, I can't protect them from this.
Make sense?
That's why he has to come to the near side as well.
Whoever's making entry here,
if I'm the far side guy,
then I am just,
as you're making entry,
Johnny, I am pulling here and now I got security to this side and they're coming in coming in and I get that last man
by whoever the last man is.
Okay?
Makes sense?
Kind of by the numbers, we'll do the static method.
Okay, so here I am again, we're not, this is not, I know we're prolonging this for
training, but even if we use the static method, it's not long.
We're here for maybe two seconds longer than we want to be.
Okay, so it's going to be here, squeeze the release.
Good, and we all get the POD, well done, and at that point we're going to priorities to work.
But the way we came into this hallway is we never gave up security to the front, did we?
We always had at least one gun pointing security to that unknown.
We gave up our rear security so that we can make entry,
and then obviously we picked him up because he needs to provide security for it.
and then himself peels into the room at that point.
The way that goes down is one method.
However, there is another method of doing this.
If nearside.
So other method of doing this is if the nearside gets
Now takes that far side and that'll look like this So as Damon is stacked on this door.
Go ahead and stack Damon like you were And so instead of you going along this time I can go along so I'll give him a squeeze and release
That means you're gonna be number two man in number three man in and you're gonna pick me up I'll be last man.
Okay, so I give him a squeeze and release He goes
Okay, and so what I did in this case is, as I gave him the squeeze and release, he came
into the room, I picked up long.
The only problem with that is there's one extra step of that needs to happen between you and you.
me because I'm squeezing and you need to see that right because that when I squeeze he's going you need to be right behind him.
So that's the extra step of coordination is that my squeezing release needs to be coordinated with him because now he's two men.
Right, but if I was a two-man like in the prior method, then then I don't need to coordinate with anybody
Right, I'm I'm going in there with you and you're pulling long in this case
I showed you the other method near side went long in this case.
Let's that again We'll go near side going long again
And then we'll do this once we do this one we'll go doing all this on the move.
So again, we're at this little spot for about two seconds.
I give him a squeeze release.
He makes entry.
John, you got to get in there.
I pull along.
Johnny gives me last man.
I come in here myself and I went too far.
Sorry.
And I get to POD.
We're all at POD at this point.
Cool.
And then we get into priorities of work as long as we have security to whatever direction we're moving in.
Security first and priorities of work.
So for this one we're going to right back to far side ghost lung and we'll do it on the move.
So I'm going to give him the squeeze and release on the move so all this is going to be very fluid.
It doesn't mean it's going to be fast.
It just means that we're going to do all these steps consecutively.
Here we go.
Move, take the open door, okay, index move, take the open door,
All right, now let's do a rolling near-side security or near-side four, near-side long.
Okay, let's do the second method.
Near side, long security, on the move.
Take it.
Okay, index.
Okay.
This all comes down to SOP though, right?
It's like each team will have a preferred method.
Although they know both methods, they usually have a preferred method.
And the most popular method is longs or far side takes long security because there is no waiting for me to pass.
However, this is also a viable option and works.
Okay, here we go.
Open door left, open door.
Index.
Let's just say that the cell leader says we're going to the white door.
So we'll call it out like normal, everything else is normal.
When it comes to closed doors in the hallway, we're looking for a couple of things.
We're looking for hinges.
If I can see hinges, that means that this is an open door, right, or a pole door is what we say.
And if I don't see hinges, that means it's a push door.
If I can just push this door open.
So hinges is something we look at immediately.
And even if we're not taking this door down,
as we're passing this door, again, we're taking That says, yup, this is a push door or it's a pull door, okay?
So we come back to it, we know what breaching technique or tool or method to use on this door immediately.
And another way to mitigate us being out here for longer because we did that assessment in route.
Does that make sense?
But that we've assessed that this is a push door,
John's going to come up on this push door and be number one man's security just like he was.
In fact, I'll take myself out of the stack really quick.
Okay, so you guys come on up and then you're going to pull security on it, John, but you're going to pull
security on it in a way where you're about to step center and make entry.
Okay, so there you go.
Get a little more like purposeful.
There you go.
Good.
Thank you So he's right here.
So he is the local security now who becomes the breacher at this point can be any one of these guys But again,
we to have security here.
So as as John Excuse me as the number one man here
pull security
The forest side comes and goes
here
Johnny you're sorry you're gonna go you're gonna go here right um you're gonna
push forward then I'm coming up as number four man and I will be the breacher at this point.
So now we have firepower to the unknown, cross coverage to the unknown.
We have local security to this door.
We've given up our rear but we already said that's low on the totem pole for priorities but now I become the breacher.
If I need to move Damon slightly out of the way I'll give him a little nudge and now at this
point I give a coordination with Johnny and whoever's behind.
If we have more people in the stack I give In this case,
we just have four of us,
so I'm giving that coordination with you because as soon as this door opens, you're going to be number two man then.
I'll be number three man, okay, but I have to pick Damon up before I can go in.
What I forgot to mention is because there's no one here to give him a squeeze of release.
Basically, when this door fly is open, that is your squeezer release.
That's me saying to you, the door is open, go and ready, I'm with you, right?
Okay, so let's get back into that.
Okay.
good index there.
Okay so we just I just showed you where John became local security because he was the one man.
Okay now I'm gonna show you another method where John is now pulling pushing past the So pick up long security.
Johnny now local security on the door here.
Okay, so John, you're gonna push forward on this run.
Johnny, you're gonna come to the door, Damon, you're also gonna push basically just in line with John, yep.
So let's see that.
So do the call outs as well.
Okay, so now if I was the foreman here coming in, I'm going to on to the other side of Johnny.
Go with him.
Come back, come back, come back.
Way too slow.
It needs to be fast because that's why I looked at you because I said you're the two man.
So this door opens.
That's his squeeze and release to go and you just need to go when he goes and close
that gap as much as you can and I'll pick up John and meet you guys.
Okay, here we go.
Last man.
Okay, good, that was much better, good job there Johnny, okay, so let's do one more time.
We're gonna stay with near side pulling long and then for the last couple we'll go far side pulling long like we originally did,
okay, so we'll just stay with near side.
So back up a bit for me and and and approach and come into this door on approach.
Okay, nice.
So, now we got our security to the unknown here.
Johnny has local security.
I was the four men, so here I am coming into my place.
I come right around Johnny because I already know what Johnny is doing.
He's pulling security.
So that makes me breacher.
I just have to coordinate now with Johnny Damon.
Open.
Last man.
once I pick up my last man we're right in here with you that quickly as
we again we don't know what's in this room we want to get in here and support you
guys all right so a bit of coordination there but again viable
option now let's go back to where the far side pulls long so Damon in this
case as he's positioning himself on the door you're going to cross over yep mhm closer low closer on the right Okay, good.
You how everybody, the chess pieces moved here.
John went straight to the door for local security.
Damon came over and started to compensate me for John.
Pulled this side and then obviously Johnny came up as a three man to get cross coverage.
And you could probably take a couple more steps there, Johnny.
Now, as I'm coming up again, has a four man.
Number four man, I'm right here.
I see what's going on, I acknowledge all this.
And I know that at this point I'm the breacher.
Last man.
Number four Okay, index.
So as far as closed goes,
you see there's just a little bit of coordination regardless of whether near-side pulls long or far-side pulls long,
the chest piece is still move almost in sync, okay?
Everything's synchronized.
They're a timing hassle.
and the coordination there upon me getting to that breach point also has to be important okay
and if it was like if I'm only coordinating with Johnny because we don't have more people there
if we had more people there I'm coordinating with them not him he's gonna stay long if we had more
assaulters I'd be like looking at those guys yep and then opening the door for them.
This just this is just a breaching technique is me just going for the door knob.
Obviously where there's a ton of mechanical breaching techniques,
explosive breaching techniques, we're just showing you in a civilian world what we have to work with and that's really just our hands.
Okay.
So if you have tools then that's great.
If not, we always check door knob to see if we can just open the door.
So that's very basic level breaching right there, but that is how we address the closed door in the hallway.
It becomes second priority on the totem pole of doors, open doors being priority, but this is how we address.
There is no rolling closed door method here, okay?
All right, so we're about to get into intersections.
Now, when we get into intersections, there's a few things.
That we need to think about how much manpower we have,
we'll kind of dictate what method we use to negotiate this intersection depending on what the leadership call is.
He could say, you know, we're going left, holding left or going right or whatever it is.
In this case, we're going to start with a dog leg.
A dog leg is also defined as a hard night.
So since we have kind of this intersection set up, we'll just pretend these two walls are out of play.
So we are coming down this hallway and we have this hard right turn or this dog leg right.
So as we're coming up, you two, number one man on both sides.
The number one on both sides will get that cross coverage.
You guys see that you're coming on to some kind of opening here,
but if you look at it from just an opening What does it look like?
We're traveling down this way and we have this opening you can see a wall, right?
What it look like room-wise?
Looks a corner fed so if we think corner fed in mind if we keep corner fed in mind
then negotiating this becomes very easy okay.
So as you guys come onto this intersection you have the best look this way so go ahead and get that
cross coverage both of you.
You're not you have nowhere to look really so you'll kind of recess a little bit because then there's nothing here to see.
Now, Damon has the best view.
What does Damon see?
He see all down this wall, all the way back to that back wall.
So has a pretty good view.
He can now give call outs, open doors, closed doors, another dog leg, maybe kind of partition or obstacle.
Whatever it is, he's calling it out.
How do we get around this corner?
There's a couple of different ways.
In this case since Damon has the best view, Damon is going to creep up to the near side, still utilizing cover.
And all this turns into is basically like leaving a room into a hallway.
So he's going to get the squeeze and release from one of you.
He's going to do his peak pause push.
is, he's going to start going to this far side.
But again,
he's not making a super movement towards the front,
he's just a lateral movement, and then he's going to take little baby steps and wait for people to catch up.
So go ahead and give him the squeeze and release.
So Damon, just kind of get over there and pause for me.
Now, while that's happening, which side were you on?
Far So stay there, now near side.
you come up now we have to we can't assume that it's just four people we have to
assume a team CQB that we have more than four people six eight maybe 12 so
we have to play it that way so now John comes in and takes nearside okay so now
as Damon sees John taking nearside they start to creep up
you're just going to fall in whichever side you want to fall in on okay index come back
it can be that easy it's really whoever has the best view down this direction that we're
about to travel should kind of take the lead Okay,
so again, if it was the same for you going this way, then I would push you to that near side.
Okay, so we don't want Damon, he has the best view, but he doesn't have the best cover.
That's why we're saying, hey, push here and get ready to actually, you know, and make entry into this hallway.
So let's do that on the approach one more time.
And then again, call out that dog leg right, please.
Okay, whatever Damon sees, you're going to call it out.
And then as he's calling it out, he's just going to start pushing that way because again, he knows what to do.
He knows that he has the best view, more than likely he's going to be the one man into this hallway.
Now he's got his security posture and he's just waiting for that squeeze and release.
So who's the squeeze and release coming from?
I'm John, who's Johnny's side, your stack is on the far side, so you are the last one to go.
Alright, so give him the squeeze and release.
Damon's going to peak, pause, push.
John in and immediately takes the near side and they start walking.
And Johnny comes in, if we have more salters, they all come in and start filling the stack and making it even on both sides.
So let's do a dog leg left now.
Dog leg left.
Okay, so we're coming up cross coverage.
Obviously nothing to see here, Damon, so you're going to give that up.
And then, yep, John's going to take near side.
Nope, nope, not the squeeze and release.
so you kind of just get this and maintain and yep and then he has to give
you the squeeze and release so that you can have that reassurance that he's
with you you know I mean you don't want to go into this hallway by yourself so go
ahead and creep up yep creep up get that look get to the near side okay and then
Damon's gonna give him that squeeze and release peak pause push Damon takes near now we just walk walk walk Johnny's looking for work,
so he's going to join you.
Perfect.
Perfect.
Well done.
Notice Johnny just took the initiative to join you guys.
That kind initiative is what a Salters need to have.
There's a saying in CQB that is often thrown out.
always look for work, always look for work, always look for work.
If you're always looking for work, then everything we need to do inside of a room or in a hallway will get covered down.
And again, we need to be switched on.
Nobody told Johnny to come join you guys,
but he saw us a wider hallway and he's like, you know what, I can fit my gun in there.
Well, let's all three of us have our guns out.
Okay, so let's do that again.
And we'll go dog leg left.
So we're coming on to this this dead end here.
It's a hard left turn Good.
Good.
Index.
So now let's go into a T So we're traveling along,
let's say, the vertical portion of that T, and this is the horizontal or the top of the T.
So leadership at this point needs to make a call.
Let's say the leadership says, hold left, go right.
So for you guys, hold left, go right.
So, how that looks now is like you guys have that cross coverage, you're to
creep up onto this intersection or this T-section with maintaining that cross coverage as long as possible and then pause there.
Okay.
All right, let me see it.
Maintain that cross coverage as long as possible.
Creep up as much as you can, okay, could you still have a couple feet here?
Okay.
So the directional call again was hold left, go right.
Okay.
So who has the best view of going this way?
Damon.
Okay.
So when this happens now,
we're going to have to have two people kind of peel at the same time okay now what's going to happen is when
you you guys are going to take a little bit of coordination so go ahead and get
that cross coverage and what you're going to do is you're going to give each other
a quick little look a quick little nod or whatever that s Right?
And then you're both going to peel at the same time, and you're going to peek, pause, push to the far side.
Immediately, Johnny, you're going to go to the near side of the direction of travel.
You said we're going right, correct?
Okay, so left, go right.
When I say hold left, go right, that's why Damon is also peeling at the same time as John.
John's going to go to the direction of travel.
Damon's going to get rear security.
They're both going to get this snapshot.
They're to both push across to get that snapshot.
And then Johnny, you're going to fall in trace with John.
You become the two one men, but before you do that, you up Damon in route.
In fact, I'll be the number four men, and then we can make this work even easier.
So you guys maintain that cross grab as long as possible.
A bit of hand-eye coordination there.
Peel at the same time, peek, pause, push, right, okay, and like Johnny come back, Johnny come back.
Everybody come back.
Since I added myself to it, I have to change one thing.
Remember, when we go into a hallway or T-section, the of travel, that side of the stack all goes down.
Okay so in this case we're going right, correct?
The side you got to hold, except for you, you're peeling, or you got to hold, right?
As he pushes to the far side, you pick up near side, okay?
And then as he pushes to the far side, I pick up near side.
Except what happens is,
as you pick up near side, and you see there's nothing there, you're going to go over there and give him a last man.
join us on the stack, and Damon also comes and joins the stack.
Does that make sense to everybody?
Okay.
We can't do this three-man.
We have to do it four-man.
I mean, we can't do it three-man, but for the second video, this is Team CQB.
So, all right, so give yourselves a little bit of coordination and then peel at the same time.
And then,
right, sorry, sorry, for right there, as soon as you get that one look and you're like, yep, clear, go get him, give him a last man tap, come join us, and then Dame's
going to come join us.
Should we do it again?
All Peak, pause, push, good.
And we say baby steps until they catch up, good index.
Had that look over there, that domino effect, that look good.
So Johnny, I couldn't see.
So I'm assuming you peeled and then you came here, last man, you came and joined us.
Okay, perfect, perfect.
That's how we utilize all four people.
If we had three people, I'll kind of explain that, but I do myself in the stack.
As I'm dropping here, am I just walking to him?
Yeah, pretty well, it's in your best interest to get kind of a peak pause push as well, because you don't want to just assume you're
walking just because Damon didn't get shot.
Right?
So I would do that for myself.
Give it a quick peek and then go get Damon.
Okay, let's do it again.
Okay, index.
Good job.
That's why we take Baby Steps as the two one-man on the new direction of travel because we know that these guys are a steps behind us.
Plus, we don't want to walk onto an open door with just the two of us.
Because then now we're getting up waiting for these guys.
So Baby Steps, Baby Steps, until we hear the pitter-patter of their feet.
Once I feel that he's on my back, now we're striding it out because again, we're in a hallway.
Let's get out of this hallway.
Okay, one more time.
Okay, now we pick it up.
Good.
Once we have everybody, we step it out.
So, with four minutes.
Traveling along the top of the tee.
This is out of play.
So this is the top of the tee This is the vertical perpendicular portion leadership needs to make decision
Do we hold left and go straight or do we hold straight and go left?
Well in this case, we're gonna hold left and go straight.
Okay hold left go straight.
So what does this mean?
Simply is that As we creep up to this intersection, so let's do that get your cross coverage.
Go ahead and creep up to it You're just holding long so now that we're here.
We one man on secure We can't stay here very long right because who's protecting Damon from this side that you can't see make sense
So that's why again.
We can't stay here long By the numbers, you guys came in and you got as much cross-brothers as can.
Once Damon saw this, he's there, he's set, he's pulling security to that direction, okay?
But needs to happen is, when you guys give that coordination with each other, you're going to peel, peek, pause, push.
You're going to come over to this side and then you're going to hold it from here and let these guys go through.
Okay, and then whoever the last man is, it actually might be me.
I'll give you that last man tap.
Then we continue going.
Alright, so what happens here is the t the vertical portion of the t-section needs to we need to pull security on that.
What happens at this point is,
John, when you do your peak pause, when you peel into your peak pause push, you push to that far side and you maintain security.
Johnny, you're just going to give your near side a little snapshot, you're to give
it that snap look and then you're going to pick up and get, um, get, John, give him the last man to continue.
Damon and I are going to forward,
but I am going to put, to that opposite side on this, since we have nothing to do on this side.
Makes sense?
All right, so let's go through it.
Cross coverage, then we're coming up on this.
In this case,
you guys were really fast,
so I just stayed on my side,
but I was actually ready to come up,
and if you were taking too long, I was going to come up and compensate for that cause coverage.
So doing his call outs right here.
If he sees anything, good.
Okay, good, and it's really as simple as that.
The point of intersections is we need to have security to the directions we're not traveling.
As long as we have security to the directions that we're not traveling, getting across is pretty easy.
So I have two guns pointed in security,
man, I could just post you guys here all day and get everybody through this intersection and then pick you guys up with
the last men, you know what I mean?
And that's all it is.
Security to the portion we're not going to.
One or two guns in security to the portion that we are going to, and that's it.
Then everybody catches up with each other.
Okay, so let's do this on the move.
Okay, index.
If we're doing this in a more dynamic way where we're saying, look, we know that there's a fight there.
We know that whatever's down there is, that's what we need to get to.
The screaming means.
we need to get there, we can blow past this intersection and just pry it on like a floating, kind of like a floating pie.
And so we're just gonna pry ourselves across this intersection as we come on to this intersection.
We're not going to slow down, we're not going to pause.
As you come up upon this threshold,
you're just going to plug it all the way through until you get to a place where you can go back to the 12.
Johnny, you're going to do the same thing for yourself.
So just going to flow right through this intersection, it's a more dynamic.
Okay, index.
So there's a few other methods of addressing intersect T sections like this,
whether we're traveling along the T, top the T, or traveling along the perpendicular of the T.
Few other methods for that, but we're just introducing the two most popular methods.
as well as the kind of dynamic method because of time sensitive issues down there, right?
We are traveling along the top of the T again, and this time the leadership says, hold straight, go left, okay?
Or hold front, go left.
When it's something like that.
Hold front, go left.
So we get a pull security to the front, and our direction of travel is to the left.
So what does that imply to us?
Right, okay, so what that implies is
as We come up to this intersection and we have that cross coverage
John you need to at this point when you peel you're gonna do that peak pause push push to that far side and start kind of tippy toe Johnny,
you're going to come in near side, okay, and you're going to do the same thing.
You're to kind of peep pause, push, and get in there with them, and you two become the one man.
And then as Damon kind of moves to that site,
the poll security, I'm going to, sorry, Damon's going to move to the near site, the poll security.
I'm going to go straight and then pick up Damon, and then we'll join you guys.
Okay, well we'll do this first one kind of by the numbers so I can talk it and walk it at the same time.
Okay, so let's come up to the intersection with cross coverage, a bit of
coordination between you two, and you're going to go push to that far side, good.
I'm here, I don't see anything, last man.
I joined John, Damon joins Johnny, and now we're both traveling down this hallway.
Easy enough, right?
Last man.
index.
So four-way intersection, we have three directions we can go.
We can go left, we can go front, we can go right.
So says hold right, hold front, go left.
Hold right, hold front, go left.
So need to somehow negotiate this where we are pointing security to our right, pointing security to our front, and then action.
Alright, so what this looks like is as you got your job stays the same for this portion.
You're going to go up there, get that cross coverage, you're going to peel at the same time, you're both going to peak pause push.
Okay, Damon, as you get to the far side of this hallway, you're going to give this up
and give that a look, and then come right into the stack, whoever you fall in on that side.
And I'm basically doing the same thing and trace on the near side, and then I'm going to the same thing on the far side.
Now, Damon's going to go from here, as you guys peak pause, push, Damon's going to use that push.
Right?
That's why you move together, because it's body burning.
Damon's gonna use that push to also push himself across, right?
So he's also gonna peek pause push that way,
but then once he gets to the far side looking that way He's gonna give that a look and then he's gonna join you guys
I'm gonna get it.
I'm gonna come in from the near side give that a look go pick up Damon And then join you guys, okay?
Yeah.
All right, let's do this.
That's man.
Okay, index.
Last Index.
So using a deliberate method of
crossing this four way intersection again we said hold hold right hold front
we're going left hold right hold front going left okay so you guys know what
you're doing correct you're coming up to this cross coverage you both peel peak
pause
and as you push them in you're going to recess in a little bit so that I can come drop over
you and get long this way and then I'm going to recess in so that when you turn around I'm not in your way
but as you turn around you give me that last man I pick up and I join you guys as the fourth man
makes sense you guys are already kind of halfway down the hallway by now okay let's do that I'll see Index.
So now we are going straight.
So going to say hold right, hold left, go straight, hold right, hold left.
So, what happens here is as you guys come cross coverage, cross coverage, cross coverage,
same coordination,
give it a quick peel,
peak pause,
push, but as you guys push across remember the recess in a little bit because then what Johnny and I
are doing is we're gonna come drop right over you and we are just gonna
continue down this hallway and then we will hopefully pick you guys up if I
can't give you a tap I'll give you a verbal because again we are kind of in the
front now right so we'll try our best but it just may be Can you guys picture that though?
You Okay.
Johnny, you and I are just going to go with.
And we pick up our guys on the end.
Alright.
Let's go ahead.
Last month.
All right, so the last piece of the puzzle here on the far away is we need to hold left, hold front and go right.
So nothing really changes from going left to right, but now we're just going to go to the right for the sake of the training.
Alright, so hold left, hold front, go right, we've been through this before, so you guys,
again, continuity here, come up with that cross coverage, maintain it as long as possible.
A bit of coordination, peel out, peek, pause, push.
Okay, and as you guys push, Johnny, you're going to get long, so again, you have to recess in.
So, peak pause, push, recess in a little bit, Johnny's going to drop up on top of you, he's going to pull along.
Damon's going to do the same thing,
he's going to peak pause, push across to the far side, but Damon's going to start walking towards the direction of travel.
And what I'm going to do is from the near side,
I'm going to do the same thing where I peak pause, push, and then I join Damon.
What you guys need to do at this point is who's, who's here.
You need to peel pick up Johnny and then get on our backs and we get back on that stack.
You guys good with that?
Okay, so opposite of what we did earlier
Where I pick my man up you guys now pick your man up Okay,
hold left, hold front, going right, okay, index, okay, good, was like a slight hesitation there?
on YouTube.
Okay, when you're trying to decide like at what point should I peel off this?
and I try to turn around and go.
Okay, perfect, perfect.
Yeah, let him kind of get settled.
That way he gets kind of past you and that way
because we don't want to interrupt him on the move in case he needs to take a shot.
But once I hear him stop and I don't hear any gunshots, okay, let me peel, pick up Johnny, get back into the stack.
Leadership says hold left, hold going right.
index.
