Today we are gonna be reacting to Dreamcatcher and their new brand new video and brand new song which is called Be Cause.
And I swore I'm gonna react to them again after ad clips that I...
reacted to approximately a ago.
I really enjoyed that one.
I like this awesome combination of like a pop of rock and various like harder genres incorporated with like a really typical co-capable voices.
As you can see I dressed myself up for the occasion.
And I'm pretty sure the dark queens are gonna deliver.
So let's get into that.

And now without any further ad you, dream catcher, because, all right, let's go.
Well, first of all, I'm very happy that this time I can match voices.
because in the ad clips it was more of like anime-styled music video and this time we
are seeing exactly whose voice belonged to whom and I'm just gonna replay it
again because this was like really throwing a deep water straight from the beginning.
So the free singer...
bit breathy she is singing super lightly but even though she's breathy the vocal
line is very clear so it is not kind of muffed together There's a breath underneath,
but the vocal line is pretty clear coming from the mix and the second singer has a little bit of the nasal quality in her singing.
That's interesting.
I like that round from the hat voice back to the bass line.
Very See, she is very different.
She I think, from them, from them all.
from what I've seen or heard so far.
She is the biggest power singer.
She is not going too lightly.
She's not filming her voice.

Alright, I think we've seen all of the majority of the voices and this is a great song to kind
of showcase how different they are and not just in the tone quality but also in a very different kind of technique of singing.
So I love them, have a very good call.
coordinated, fast-singing, which is very typical for K-pop.
But in their case, the difficulty is way higher.
The belting lines are way more difficult.
The switches are pretty much out there.
There's multiple switches to have voice and then immediately back.
I think I admire the same thing in the Eclipse.
I pointed it out there as well.
I like that.
It's super light and it just sounds so beautiful.
I'm just gonna replay that one so you can hear it.

I'm sorry if the lighting conditions are gonna change from time to time.
I'm recording with the natural light and that fluctuates to take like crazy.
I love that distortion on her voice, that's a good usage of an effect.
That part was absolutely the coolest because, first of all, the bass reminded me of prodigy like crazy, 100%.
That was so close to that, the moment I've heard that kind of a fast beat, I was like oh my god.
my mind literally immediately snapped to prodigy,
and I loved how they used those two violent tones that have been also used in hitcog, like psycho into that bass.
Oh, that sounds amazing.
Let's just replay it because that was really, really cool.
I told you, first of all, she has a really cool tone quality form.

That part was,
I know I'm here for more of the vocal parts,

Okay, so the refrain part, um, I like it.
has a stunning melodic line.
I think that it's interesting that the first part they are singing independently from the music and the second part they are kind of joining in with
the melody and they're like copying the melody that sounds really really nice, especially because the melody is just so dominant there.
Surprisingly there is not too many building parts in the refrain which I think is very interesting choice.
I like there is this switch into head voice so which is really really stunning so
that chef's kiss but no belting belting is actually outside of the refrain this
time a typical but I like it I like it a I know what kind of music they're coming from,
where getting their inspiration, and the music like that.
This part.
would probably be scream or there would be a heavy distortion on the voice of the singer so it
would be a screaming part or the girl it would be something like that inserted in this part but
because they have only this very bright and in a lot of cases super light voices,
which are still well supported,
but they're definitely not adding any girl or screaming to that because they're just not the type of singer,
the technician,
the music coordinator,
whoever was deciding the kind of arrangement of the song,
decided to put a heavy distortion on her voice,
which kind of creates a creates that effect and that's why it fits so well there because you didn't you didn't get
that scream or growl or like heavy fry but the distortion kind of creates that effect for you and I like it a lot.
I like it a lot.
And then right after that very distorted part, you get a lightweight, very airy singing which kind of diffuse the whole atmosphere.
Okay, that was a beautiful switch in the very light head voice.
The switch was very audible, but it was on purpose.
It sounded really, really good.
Oh, that was a very high build over there.
It was a high almost like just shouting it out, but it was well controlled.
I will just very quickly replay this part,
because it's not just a very, very high build, but at the same time, there is this run that is in...
where she goes into her head voice and this time she did not switch into her head voice she just
built a dead part so let's focus.
Normally she I like this,
they were also playing on a lot of horror,
stereotypes like that music box at the end and the laugh and that kind of usage of the violin,
which is very reminiscent of the Hitchcock cycle and like a tons of references and I'm a I'm a sucker for everything Halloween and
spooky and horror-connected so I love that I actually noticed a lot of the references.
And I appreciate them.
Definitely me know down in the comments their names so next time I can match the face to the voice to the name.
I love their style.
If it is a dark K-pop or is it pop rock, I would go even harder than pop rock.
I think this is a little bit too dark for pop rock.
I like that there is this beautiful contrast between their voices and really, really awesome dark music underneath of that.
I was a huge fan of multiple parts of this video.
First all, the red part that I was fangirling about loved that one.
The whole music composition was just for this song.
And all of them cooperated perfectly with their voices on it.
Visuals were absolutely stunning.
I love that kind of play on the dark snow white thing.
I'm really excited about them.
They are singing in a very k-pop fashion, but with a way higher difficulty.
And I think is important is that they are pretty versatile.
I've heard switches and to have voice runs, I've heard belts, and all of them pretty well done.
And I think they are producing as well,
which tells me that they have a lot to do with the music composition,
the music arrangement and that's where Dreamcatcher actually shines for me the most because you're gonna have good singers if you don't know how to
showcase them and just make them stand out.
It's kind of useless and Dreamcatcher definitely knows how to stand out.
how to show off, how to really do it their own way.
Very typical, very special and definitely very versatile.
I like them a lot.
I also hope that this is going to be well perceived across the genres even for the music period.
or genre purist because this is definitely group that deserves to be given chance by wider audience than just pop audience or k-pop audience.
