It's a largely mid-laged army in Ukraine trying to keep Russian forces at bay.
The age of soldiers is over 40.
Compare that to the US, 28 and the UK, 31.

We went to a recruitment centre for the well-known Azov Brigade to ask them which age of soldiers they prefer.
We need everyone,
older people because they're more experienced in their specialty,
but if we're talking about some combat positions where there should be endurance, physical condition and cold bloodedness, those should be filled by young people.
Young people find it easier to compete our basic training course, and it's easier for them to make tough decisions.
So why is the Ukrainian army relatively old?
In part because the country's conscription age even after a recent reduction remains high at 25 Russia's is 18.
There's been a real reluctance from the government of the country to hollow out.
It's already small supply of younger men.
Just look at the country's population pyramid and you see why.
The generation from 20 to 30 is the smallest since the UN started keeping record.
It's a huge problem for the army, aggravated by the reluctance of some younger men to join up, draft dodging is an issue.
Meanwhile, older men are leaving their families to go and fight.
Dimitro is only off the front line now because his leg was blown off.
He's grateful for the chance to see his 12-year-old son, Matt V.
But he still wants to go back.
And wife, Nadia, albeit reluctantly sees the need.
This is our homeland.
If not us, then who?
Perhaps with the new mobilization rules, the answer to that question of who will increasingly be younger Ukrainians.
