Now I done grew around some people living their life in bottles,

some people like the way it feels, some people wanted to kill their sorrows, some people wanted to fit in with the popular...
I was in the dark room,
loud tunes,
looking to make a vowel soon That I'ma get fucked up,
filling up my cup,
I see the crowd Me changing by the minute,
and the record on repeat Took a sip then another sip,
then somebody said to me He's really laying out a story of tragedy of just using probably around him generationally.
This happens.
Y'all addiction happens generationally.
It's a pattern of behavior.
So pay attention.
If it's in your family, you're super duper likely to be able to have that.
It doesn't mean just cause somebody's an addict in your family.
It means if you get started into something that's not so good, you are way more likely to end up there.
It's the same as when suicide happens in a family.
You are way more likely now generationally in your family to have it happen just because it's entered the system.
Okay.
So when he's talk telling the story about people around him,
people in his family, a lot of drinking and you know, just the, the toxic nature of how they did.
that shoot.
It's a wonder he would end up the same way, right?
I he would do the same thing because that's what I learned was normal.
Even though it doesn't feel normal all the time, it's what I got used to.
Wow, what a start.
That's what was That's normal all the time.
women pull for the liquor and they dive in the pool for the liquor on my top

you feel a swimming pool full of liquor and you dive in like if that isn't death like what
else is a swimming pool full of you I don't care if it's a swimming pool full of ice cream
like when you dive into something like that that is bound to do you in it's basically saying
just don't stop and drown yourself in it because that's the way you're supposed to do it.
And then he's going to dive in.
He's going to go for it.
So sad.
Like this is the piece of addiction I keep harping on.
And I know it's important for people to hear that it doesn't have to continue being that way.
Remember, there's Then there's the problem phase and then there's the addiction phase.
The first few phases, you can go backwards.
Once you cross the problem phase into addiction, you cannot go backwards.
That's it.
You are done.
You are sunk.
You're a pickle, not a cucumber anymore, and you have to realize you're cooked.
It's over and you've got to work on recovery then, which means you can never have that substance again and sustain it.

Your conscience speaks to you.

I'm trying to give you a chance.
But impulse, the drive to just get a quick fix, the fun, the exciting, the thrilling, tends to take over.
The kicks in.
It's like, okay, wait a minute.
Let me think about that.

So if you're about to do something crazy and you texted me,
you texted Tom, you wouldn't text me if you really want to go do that thing because you know what Tom's going to say.

Like just, just take it easy, just back off.
But so many times if we listen to your conscience we'll be on a better path and listen to all the stuff

This is what happened And this is the getting swept up in the lifestyle without the conscience
I love the piece about the conscience because it's telling you hey, there is an out.
There's an escape here Kendrick Lamar swimming pools what a song blew me away lots of tough stuff it's not
one I would take typically smile at But the beat was crazy good and the songs,
especially when it talked about, hey, there's a conscience here.
There's a way out of this,
I'm trying my best to help you even though all these people around here are wanting you to dive in this swimming pool.
You have to if you don't want to, you can make a choice about that.
That's why mental health matters, y'all.
