TFP - Ableton Tutorial 6 - Super quick and short Make your own Kicks pt1: Operator - バイリンガル字幕
Alright, in this video we're going to make our own percussion, we're going to start with something quite basic, we're going to make some kicks.
I'm going to use a few different instruments, but in this first one, keep it short, we'll just do a classic one with the operator.
You basically need two things to make a cake.
A wave is good to start with, which the operator provides.
You change the envelope.
We really want to have an envelope with a curve like this.
so you can have a really fast drop.
So first we just make a short envelope for the volume amplitude and then we need to enable this pitch envelope and we crank that up to max.
Now it sounds like an old-school tone drum.
Here's where you can start shaping your kick drum using this envelope.
Sounds a bit side-trancy at the moment,
so we can And then you've got this time knob here,
which affects all envelopes in the operator, so if you think that is too short.
I've really, really long decay time.
So now we're here, we've got a bit of that, sort of an 808 style.
a bit more of a 909.
So basically you can play around with these just to create your own custom kick drum which is a bit more interesting than maybe just using your standard drum.
There's a whole lot of other stuff that you can do.
We will go through that in another video.
