Los hermanos Roca -Joan, Josep y Jordi- cocinan algunos de los platos más emblemáticos, que resumen los orígenes de El Celler de Can Roca, el restaurante en el que llevan trabajando sin descanso desde hace 37 años. Un bocado de calamar inspirado en la delicada fritura que elabora su madre Montserrat Fontané en el bar restaurante familiar Can Roca, el cuartel general de esta tribu, así se definen ellos, en el barrio obrero de Taialà. Allí crecieron, soñaron con dedicarse a la restauración, y allí es donde han levantado todo su imperio gastronómico, convertido en un destino culinario para los amantes del comer y del beber de todo el planeta.  

Otro de los platos que guardan en la memoria, y no quieren que se pierda, son los canelones, elaborados a partir de la receta de la matriarca. Rinden culto a uno de los productos más emblemáticos de la zona, como es la gamba de Palamós. O al aceite de oliva. El Mediterráneo siempre como hilo conductor en sus vidas. O el plato, tan querido por ellos, que cocinaba su abuela en las meriendas cena de su infancia, como es el pan tumaca que acompaña al cordero elaborado a baja temperatura y pasado, vuelta y vuelta, por la plancha. Todas estas recetas los acompañan desde niños, y con ellas dan la bienvenida en forma de aperitivos a los comensales de El Celler de Can Roca.
